It's Haul Time again Part I, feat. Lootcrate and BM

 So the last 2 weeks have been pretty great in regards to mail. I got several full day shifts at work and as such had much more disposable income - hoorah!

 

Postman literally could not hold all of this awesome and get me to sign at the same time haha

Riddle me this! I got so many comments on these when I went down the street in them. I wish I could get a photo that actually shows how freakin' vibrant they are.

The other item I got from Black Milk were the mecha legs however I haven't yet gotten a photo of them. II did enjoy wearing them and watching the new x-men for the second time though - I felt so badassssss. My only fault with them is that I wish they were less blue and more black/grey but eh, it's not too bad.

Moving on to this month's Lootcrate who's theme was 'Fear'. It seems to have very zombie/undead undertones, this one.

Oh cthulhu, this thing was the most painful experience in the history of my tastebuds :P I physically could not bare it haha. Like...I can eat lemon pulp but this was on a whole new plain of sour.

New Members of My Nylon Family

Thought I would because there seems to be this selfie-hating culture out there...I don't really get it but whatever.

Moving on, MY CTHULHU DRESS ARRIVED! It's seriously like..the most gorgeous thing ever.

 Matchy matchy with my phone case makes me smile :D

 It's surprisingly long enough for my 6' frame, eee!

And featuring my new mac lipstick in 'Cyber', mentioned a few posts ago ;)

 Aaaand I may have worn it to work yesterday too :P

 I've decided I really love the way it looks with a nice dress shirt underneath. We'll have to see how long I can stand this when the real summer heat rolls around. (Sorry the pic is even more terrible quality than usual)

 

 

Also got these with a voucher I received for my birthday a bit over a month ago (I really should do a haul for that) and holy crap they're so awesome! Can't wait to bolt up for Halloween ^_^

The detail on these things is unbelievable!

Unfortunately I missed the mecha leggings so I'm waiting on a restock but as with everything I have to wait for, I take Tom Hiddleston's advice regarding situations like these and consider them exercises in delayed gratification. ;)

Sigh. I'm never going to save for a new laptop if I keep buying nylon haha.

I probably need rehab.

Mail, Hair and Random Happenings

So Monday was a busy mail day...

Packages from mac, BM and a lovely little parcel from a sweet friend arrived ^_^

I was so excited to recieve my mac face and body in white and can't wait to give it a proper test run this weekend! I don't think I'll be doing a full on review because well...there's a tonne of them already out there I would imagine as this product isn't exactly new.

 

I also received these lovely Illamasqua polishes curtsey of the gorgeous Kierra over at Look What the Bat's Dragged in; thank you, beautiful! I encourage you to check out her blog if you're into nail polish at all, she has great taste and an extensive collection of nail polish.

 

 

  I didn't waste time painting my nails with Hemlock, I wish I could properly capture the colour; it's amazing!

And lastly the freak stew skirt from Black Milk, love this print!


And I guess it's on to other news...

 

This green fairy had to pop into...a disguise :-( Looking in the mirror makes me incredibly depressed but at least this way I should be able to get a job and get the hell out of this cesspool.

Look Out it's Another Outfit Post

 So yesterday...Well actually it's after 12 so I suppose the day before yesterday I had lunch with my good chums Kelly and Luke and I decided I was in the mood to actually put some effort into my make up that day. And as a result cue the neutral eye make up/ I suppose you could sort of call it a smokey eye. Done with the awesome naked palette by Urban Decay.

Ergh I really need to do something with my hair. I want a job and I guess I just need to suck it up and dye my hair a non-'offensive' colour :( I was thinking maybe all black with some pure white in the fringe but I dunno...I just wish people would get over this inbuilt prejudice they have whereby they assume someone with oddly coloured hair is a drug addict, high school drop out who murders kittens and worships Satan. The truth is in my experience with the positions of employment I've held in customer service that my education, diction, intellect and general morals is of much better quality than the average Neanderthal philistine that lives in my area.

And on another note I have no idea what's going on with this blog any more. I barely have anything to post about let alone to say. The outfit things are an easy way to make sure there's not large breaks in posting but I guess it's gets pretty dull but what else can I contribute? Anything I'm vaguely knowledgeable on has been done before to a standard I couldn't muster the energy to repeat let alone surpass. People have suggested starting afresh but I just feel it'd be the same problem, with attention slightly detracted from it for a few moments by change only to fall back in the same rut again and in the mean time losing all (if any) readers.

Sigh, sorry I guess I'm just thinking out aloud...or whatever the term would be.

I'mma go now and continue to watch Dead Like Me episodes for a while before retiring to a book and a chai. I've been reading a lot of Poe the last few days. Ha, I started reading the Raven out aloud to my mother who'd hadn't heard it before and my extremist christian grandmother left the room faster than the speeding bullet himself. So freakin' hilarious. Poe is now Satanic mantra apparently. So don't give a shit! If it means she leaves a room and I get to read Poe aloud what the fuck is there to lose hahaha. Also about the start the Hobbit again with my two friends Luke and Kelly in expectation for the film that shouldn't be too far off. EMMERRGERRD CERRBERRBERRTCHH AS THUURR NERCROOMERRNCURRR!

Speaking of Cumberbatch I picked up the new the dvd Star Trek film...Think I might wait and open it this weekend with the chums ^_^

Ensembles, New Additions and General Happenings Around the Fairy Grotto

So going off what I said yesterday I tried to put a bit of effort into my outfit today, tossing on what is currently probably my favourite wardrobe pieces; plus I did my make up!

Nothing you guys haven't seen before but I am so in love with this skirt and the new Black Milk XL sizing is so comfortable I never want to take these Chopin leggings off.

I can't wait for these, ever since they were sneak peeked a few months ago I've been dying to get them on my legs.

 

 Also, new ASOS order arrived today; a first from them for me.

It was a leather skirt which I got on sale for a bargain of less than 60 bucks. But yeah, it is real leather so vegans/vegos should note that in case they wanted to buy their own. They do have plenty of varieties of veggie-friendly, faux-leather options however.

Sorry about the constant crappines of my photos but my computer can't handle having any more photos on it and my SLR ones are huge files plus the light in my house is complete shit.



In other news my ability to read for long periods of time seems to be returning (who knew that anaesthetic had such a bad reaction 0.o) So I've started this book ...again, hoping this time I can get through it. I normally don't read that much modern stuff however I for some reason was put on to a series by the same other by a friend and hoped this would be as attention-grabbing. So far it's a bit so-so but I do believe it's getting better!



Moving on, I just found a cute little reference to me in this lovely blog that I'm probably the last to discover :P It's called Dark Side of the Net and the post mentioning me and my little place on the interwebs is here. Thank you kind stranger for the mention and for reading! ^_^

P.s. Readers do my pictures appear blurry to you? I'm not sure what's going on but for some reason even though I know the pics aren't blurry they show up as such on my blog. If you open them in their own window/tab they come into focus though; it's really weird and frankly it's pissing me off! Anyone got any advice/comments?

P.p.s. I'm approaching 200 posts, do people usually do something special for these kind of milestones?

Edit: Until I can figure out why stupid blogger makes all my photos blurry when they're resized I've had to make them smaller but if you click on them and open them in a new window they appear much larger and clear.
