The Plague, Life and Gaming

 Bit of a whingy post today followers, so avert your gaze if you're disinterested in posts about the inner workings of my life :P

Gah, I am so sick of being sick! I think my doctor is also sick of seeing me too :P I'm on my second round of antibiotics as of today for this stupid cough that has now turned into a chest infection and also started on some sort of bloody steroid to make me heal faster or some crap. I'm also putting away 4000mg of vitamin C a day -.-

Reason being is I have surgery soon and I can't be sick for it ergh :/ I don't know how much I've mentioned but I'm having a tumour removed from my liver and I got my date for surgery yesterday. Not gonna lie...I'm a bit scared >.>

So...in the meantime I've been planning my funeral (and what a great affair it will be) just in case I actually do die haha. But, if I don't I'll come out of it with a wicked and massive scar across my abdomen!

In light of this I've been splurging on various things including a new Black Milk item and the new Tomb Raider game! Gah I can't wait to play it but it needs a stupid update and my net is crap and also I probably shouldn't be downloading it with our really limited amount of data we have here...But YOLO I guess haha. I promise that will be the first and last time I ever use that term on my blog *crosses heart*.

I'm also majorly lusting over UNIF's Hellbound boots. They've recently been restocked on Solestruck and I keep checking if my size is still in stock every hour on the hour hahaha.

 

Mind the puddle of drool on the floor...

Anyway, hopefully I can get this game fully installed so I can play it alllll weekend long. That intertwined with a lot of sleeping sounds like a solid plan for fun. 

Anyway I'm off now to play a few rounds of Plants Vs Zombies and then perhaps read a chapter or two of my book before I head to bed.

Keepin' It Goth...Even When You Exercise

Hello again lovelies I hope you're all well ^_^

Today I was planning on talking about how to keep in real...goth style when you're running, gyming, lifting...your arm to put on eyeliner (seriously, you need muscles to keep that arm up for so long) or whatever it is that you prefer to keep healthy.

I know, I know who the hell likes exercise anyway? It hurts and it takes effort and there's sun and I can't game whilst I'm working out (though that's a freakin' good idea, I'd be so fit if I had to actually run on a treadmill everywhere I wanted to go in Oblivion). I've always been rather lacking in passion towards  y'know...doin' stuff but my partner is rather active and I would like to be able to keep up with him. Plus unfortunately I'll have to have some surgery soon (ergh :S) and I want to try and lose some of my sub cutaneous fat before that happens.

So I thought I'd share the few little things that help motivate me to get active :D

Firstly it's this app:

It's called 'Zombies, Run!' as you may have gathered and it's awesome! You start it up and it gives you a whole storyline about the apocalypse and how you've gotta go on missions to get supplies for the remaining survivors. In between info from the app it plays music from your library. Sometimes when running/walking, you run into the horde and you have to run until you can't here their brain-starved growls in your earphones. Super creepy and super awesome, I love it and highly recommend it.

The other thing that helps, for me anyway is fashion. I see alot of these cool looking commando-esque sports bras and thought.. 'Ooo they're nifty.' So I bought this one:

For reference it's the champion Max Support 360. So...yeah after I'd spent a small fortune on good quality sports bras, I did kind'a need to justify it by exercising. And yeah...If I wanna buy anything exercise related I have a price in activity I have to pay :P


So after I get the new bra I bought today I'm going to have quite a few km's to run or chin ups to do :P


By the way it was this one:

The Shock Absorber Ultimate Run Bra, which seems to have some pretty good reviews. Hopefully my boobs will actually fit in this one :S (hope that's not tmi :P) I dunno what it is about them...I just feel so Ellen Ripley-esque badass when I wear them, so...yeah whatever works, right? :P

Plus it helps when one of your favourite brands starts a gym line right?

Cupid Can Kiss My Arse

So, last night I did something naughty and bought some shoes, even though I really can't afford them and I need to be saving for Utopia this weekend, and Melbourne/ Sydney Mardi Gras in a few weeks. Oh yes, I forgot to mention, I stuffed up my booking for my hotel for my Melbourne trip and as the hotel had a no refund/ no changes policy, I lost 360 bucks. Joy, right? *mutters* So now I'm just down for the one night, as I can't afford any more and then I'm back in Sydney for my first ever Mardi Gras! Gonna be a hectic weekend, but good I hope! I'm not sure if this is a universally known fact, but Mardi Gras here is a big event for gays and lesbians to celebrate without any of the nonsense that they normally have to deal with. I'm not gay myself, but I'm going to show my support for those I'm attending it with who are of that persuasion. Plus, it's just a grand excuse to party really really hard!

I've wanted these for ages but I couldn't find a site that wasn't pre-order and also I was poor and...not insane with the spending. Oh well, they beautiful :P Found here.


For some reason I really liked these, they're not what I would normally wear but they're hot! I just guessed my sizes, bloody hell I hope they fit! Found here.



Oh and I s'pose I'll post a few pics from my good friend Rosemary's Circus themed 21st party. I know I didn't look all that exciting, I was a little exhausted from the photo shoot earlier in the day. However the other costumes there were fabulous. How good does Emily (The rainbow clown) look?!

I wore my new Top Hat from Edward's in Coffs Harbour, my usual cravat with a lace surrounded cameo from Madame Pompadour in Melbourne, a collar from In Visible Light and my Lip Service green and black striped pants. There's no photos of the corset I was wearing earlier in the night. It was just my steampunk Gallery Serpentine one with the gold stripes.


Anyway, hope y'all had good Valentine's Days yesterday even though I kind'a do think it's a crock o' shit :P It might be just because I'm jealous...or it might not be :P
