It's Haul Time again Part I, feat. Lootcrate and BM

 So the last 2 weeks have been pretty great in regards to mail. I got several full day shifts at work and as such had much more disposable income - hoorah!

 

Postman literally could not hold all of this awesome and get me to sign at the same time haha

Riddle me this! I got so many comments on these when I went down the street in them. I wish I could get a photo that actually shows how freakin' vibrant they are.

The other item I got from Black Milk were the mecha legs however I haven't yet gotten a photo of them. II did enjoy wearing them and watching the new x-men for the second time though - I felt so badassssss. My only fault with them is that I wish they were less blue and more black/grey but eh, it's not too bad.

Moving on to this month's Lootcrate who's theme was 'Fear'. It seems to have very zombie/undead undertones, this one.

Oh cthulhu, this thing was the most painful experience in the history of my tastebuds :P I physically could not bare it haha. Like...I can eat lemon pulp but this was on a whole new plain of sour.

New Members of My Nylon Family

Thought I would because there seems to be this selfie-hating culture out there...I don't really get it but whatever.

Moving on, MY CTHULHU DRESS ARRIVED! It's seriously like..the most gorgeous thing ever.

 Matchy matchy with my phone case makes me smile :D

 It's surprisingly long enough for my 6' frame, eee!

And featuring my new mac lipstick in 'Cyber', mentioned a few posts ago ;)

 Aaaand I may have worn it to work yesterday too :P

 I've decided I really love the way it looks with a nice dress shirt underneath. We'll have to see how long I can stand this when the real summer heat rolls around. (Sorry the pic is even more terrible quality than usual)

 

 

Also got these with a voucher I received for my birthday a bit over a month ago (I really should do a haul for that) and holy crap they're so awesome! Can't wait to bolt up for Halloween ^_^

The detail on these things is unbelievable!

Unfortunately I missed the mecha leggings so I'm waiting on a restock but as with everything I have to wait for, I take Tom Hiddleston's advice regarding situations like these and consider them exercises in delayed gratification. ;)

Sigh. I'm never going to save for a new laptop if I keep buying nylon haha.

I probably need rehab.

I Caved..And some Old pics I found

So if anyone else peruses the internet for beauty related crap there's no doubt in my mind you would've seen mac's Cyber about. I steered off buying this for ages, I don't why - I think I just thought there would be something better out there, something more 'me' but last week I caved and bought it. Oops :P

And I think this is 2012 BM birthday/Christmas party featuring lovely Alex. As you can see we were excited about our matching BM Cthulhu items and matching Cthulhu phone cases ^_^ AC has a blog you can check out here. Dunno what's going on with my make up in this photo - Goths in hot fucking weather, amirite? :P


Anyway, that was all for tonight. I'm hoping to convince my chums to go out to dinner or something on monday and if I'm successful I will endevour to take my SLR and get some proper photos. Unfortunately my friends aren't lovers of the lens like myself :P

Black Milk: Pulp Horror

Those that have been following me for a while would know that I'm a certified Black Milk freak. I've been following this Australian success story pretty much since their origins when James Lillis was busy sewing my purchases on his dining room table. Nowadays however, buying from BM is a whole other story and they turn out products in new releases pretty much every month; but none as exciting to me and I'm sure all the other darklings out there, than the Halloween release.

These Nylon fiends grow almost exponentially with every passing year and more success equals a bigger budget and I just love how much effort their creative teams go to in preparation for big releases such as things like Halloween. This year certainly has got to be one of, if not the most impressive of all that preceded it in regards to promotional marketing.

'Frankenhottie'

 

I freakin' love this photo! The hues, the clothes, the animated expressions of the models; it's amazing and all very reminiscent of fantastic old pulp horror movies, as the name would suggest. They even sneaked in some Rick Baker style make-up there mmm mmmmmm; I do love me some Rick Baker inspo.

'Dat beehive though, aww yeahh. Plus I'm loving how goth some of these pieces are in this collection including the above picture Fatale PVC dress.

Who doesn't love a good Doctor Who reference in the morning? Or...y'know...Any time, really.



Of this collection I'd say the stand out for me however is pretty goddamned obvious...

 The Cthulhu inside-out dress in all it's mesmerising perfection...



On the other side is a purple haunted house scene which is also quite striking

...Doesn't really compare to the Cthulhu side though, does it? :P (No...It doesn't)


The Cthulhu print Black Milk use is pretty much my favourite of theirs so naturally I'm sacrificing small children at my alter to the Old Gods in hopes it will increase by chances of scoring one (it's limited edition like all of Black Milk's IODs) ...Not that the Old Gods worry themselves with the trivialities of humans but y'know, not much to lose here baha.

I was fortunate enough to receive a voucher for BM for my birthday a few weeks back and you can be sure it'll be going towards this collection.


Quickly, some other stand outs from Pulp Horror:

 

 Oh you just know I'm going as bride of Frankenstein to any Halloween parties I attend this year. Time to bust out the big hair and the bolts, baby!

Ever wanted to feel like you're 100ft tall? Like you want to fight giant alien monsters for a living? Have you ever felt like cancelling the apocalypse? Well, my friend may want to join me in Kaijuu-groupies Anonymous and get yourself a pair of these Jaeger-esque Mecha leggings. They also come in pink but that's really none of my business.


And my little gothlings, your attention please.

I don't want to give it too much of a build up in case it's not your thing or whatever, and it's certainly not something I can pull off but by Cthulhu it's adorable...

 

Yeah...I love it. Too bad about it being a crop but I like that they did something so off centre with Nosferatu.
