I'm Commander Shepard and Black Milk is My Favourite Shop on the Internet

So the last few days haven't been the best so I guess I hoped blogging might take my mind off all the emotional drama.

So what better to talk about than *only* about my two favourite things in the world...combined! Mass Effect and Black Milk Clothing! So here all in one place are all the sneak peeks released so far (plus a little pic at the end that I was sent a while ago just after the announcement. Goes to show people, nagging fans get what they want haha

I'm really hoping they'll release a Garrus set of items but I guess it depends on popularity of this first release. So fellow ME fans! 15th of August; be there or be not square enough!

Ensembles, New Additions and General Happenings Around the Fairy Grotto

So going off what I said yesterday I tried to put a bit of effort into my outfit today, tossing on what is currently probably my favourite wardrobe pieces; plus I did my make up!

Nothing you guys haven't seen before but I am so in love with this skirt and the new Black Milk XL sizing is so comfortable I never want to take these Chopin leggings off.

Leggings and Skirt - Black Milk Clothing
Jacket - Saxony (Ebay)
Tee - Black Victory
Boots - Big W

Speaking of comfortable BM leggings...Oops I slipped ;)

I can't wait for these, ever since they were sneak peeked a few months ago I've been dying to get them on my legs.

 Also, new ASOS order arrived today; a first from them for me.

It was a leather skirt which I got on sale for a bargain of less than 60 bucks. But yeah, it is real leather so vegans/vegos should note that in case they wanted to buy their own. They do have plenty of varieties of veggie-friendly, faux-leather options however.

Sorry about the constant crappines of my photos but my computer can't handle having any more photos on it and my SLR ones are huge files plus the light in my house is complete shit.

In other news my ability to read for long periods of time seems to be returning (who knew that anaesthetic had such a bad reaction 0.o) So I've started this book ...again, hoping this time I can get through it. I normally don't read that much modern stuff however I for some reason was put on to a series by the same other by a friend and hoped this would be as attention-grabbing. So far it's a bit so-so but I do believe it's getting better!

Moving on, I just found a cute little reference to me in this lovely blog that I'm probably the last to discover :P It's called Dark Side of the Net and the post mentioning me and my little place on the interwebs is here. Thank you kind stranger for the mention and for reading! ^_^

Also, check out the awesome breakfast Mum and I had on Sunday ^_^ nom nom

Anyway I think that's probably all for tonight. Please check out my last post on a possible outfit challenge, more participants equals more fun!

P.s. Readers do my pictures appear blurry to you? I'm not sure what's going on but for some reason even though I know the pics aren't blurry they show up as such on my blog. If you open them in their own window/tab they come into focus though; it's really weird and frankly it's pissing me off! Anyone got any advice/comments?

P.p.s. I'm approaching 200 posts, do people usually do something special for these kind of milestones?

Edit: Until I can figure out why stupid blogger makes all my photos blurry when they're resized I've had to make them smaller but if you click on them and open them in a new window they appear much larger and clear. Again if any one knows why this happens I'd love to hear from you either by comment or you can email me at sydneysomething@hotmail.com
Thanks

Birthday Book Buying and Recent Wardrobe Additions

Today dad and I went into town to buy Mum a birthday present (it was yesterday, Happy Birthday Mumsie!). Dad and I were going to get her a book each but one of them that I had intended on buying couldn't be found for the life of us. So anyone we got her the one book and in the mean time part two of her present is on order and should arrive late next week.

This is what I wore; I couldn't resist jumping into my gorgeous new PVC skirt again ;)

Jacket - Saxony
T Shirt - Black Victory
PVC Skirt and Mechanical Legbone Leggings - Black Milk Clothing
Patent Combat Boots - Big W

And now my recent haul of clothing!

Black Milk PVC skirt

New Saxony shirt in blue-grey colour. Fits lovely, so comfortable I fell asleep in it.

My aunt was kind enough to pop these Peter Alexander slippers in the mail as a get well gift after my recent surgery; so cosy!

Another Saxony shirt, this one was featured in my last OOTD. A bargain on eBay at $10. Now that I've had my first taste of wearing men's fitted shirts, I never want to go back to women's. Finally, no tightness across the shoulders and sleeves that actually reach my wrists; the joy!

Skeleton Garters from Noctex; can be worn with the clips facing up or down either to keep dresses/skirts down or to keep socks up.

Plus there's the jacket in the above outfit pic, another ebay score BNWT, love it!

Anyway that's about all I have for today

OOTD feat. Kelly

So today Kelly and Luke popped in for a visit to say hello to little ol' housebound me and also so I could give Kelly part 2 of her birthday present (i.e. the part just from me) :D

After recieving quite a few new items lately I was keen to get some wear out of them as I haven't really had much of a chance, been on home detention and all after my surgery a few weeks ago. This is what I wore;

Men's black button up shirt - Saxony ($10 on ebay)
Black Satin jabot - FanPlusFriend
PVC Skirt and Chopin Black Leggings - Black Milk Clothing

I was quite fond of my outfit today, I'm IN LOVE with this skirt!

Kelly with her present! A new bag from Iron Fist, a brand she's rather fond of I hear. Also two new purple themed nail polishes from Australian-owned and run Lilypad Lacquer!

Happy Belated Birthday, Kelly!

That's all for now,

Black Milk NSW Sample Sale and Meet Up

 Hello all out there in the lovely land of blogging!

Today I have a few snaps from my weekend in Sydney for the Black Milk sample sale and get together. It was lovely catching up with some old friends and meeting some I know from the interwebz for the first time :) I like to think I also scored nicely in the sample sale, managing to snag a few pieces I've wanted but couldn't really afford. I came away with the following;

Birth of Venus Swim

Green Gamer Dress

 Wetlook Suspenders

Later on that evening we attended the get together ^_^

Skye, Jezza and myself :)

Rockabilly Partaaay

So I found to a friend's 21st this weekend just gone and as I mentioned a few posts ago it was to be a rockabilly theme. I'm not much into the whole rockabilly subculture - not that I don't think it's cool, on the contrary there are many aspects I like but it's just not really for me. So I did the theme with my little twist on it, mainly because I didn't have high-wasted jeans and for the life of me I could not find an affordable leather/leather jacket substitute.

I guess my look revolved around my sky-high pompadour quiff really...See the creation process if you'd like;

I used this youtube tutorial here. Obviously I took a few liberties, making my pomp a lot taller, changing the back to accommodate much longer hair and leaving out the dent thingo at the front but I really like the way he does the sides. Plus his technique seems to keep it together for much longer. I slept on mine for two days and it still looked good enough to leave the house with (after a slight touch up with some hairspray of course).

This was my outfit, '50s/'60s grease monkey;

Wayfarer sunglasses - Ray Ban
Chesty white shirt and belt - Kmart
Mechanical legbone leggings - Black Milk

 Keeping in mind that this party was saturday evening and my hair done late saturday afternoon...This was my hair before going out for the day on Monday;

Top and leggings by Black Milk Clothing

And this was Monday night right before I began the arduous talk of washing out a ridiculous amount of hairspray and back combing...

Anyway I'm off to watch the latest GoT episode and hopefully I'll have some photos taken by my friends of the actual party to show you all soon.

Space Bubbles

So I got my new Space Bubble Liquids today from Black Milk Clothing and ahhhh they're so cool!!!

I also have the mech legbones but I haven't had a chance to take pics in them as I didn't want to take these off ^_^

I did my make up today in an attempt to lift my spirits about a looming fibroscan I had to have regarding my liver. Turns out I had no need to be worried; hoorah!

Physio outing

My outfit for my outing to the physio today! I've grown to really like these appointments. I'd had shoulder issues for a few years now and this time I have decided I'm going to give it my all to try and get better. I often with medical issues just don't bother with exercises etc but my therapist has an extremely sunny demeanour and she's so motivating for some reason :P

Anyway apparently I've made progress which is exciting! :D Also next week, other than gaining more improvement, one of my goals is to download the superman theme and bring it on my phone to our appointment :P Everyone needs a physiotherapist this awesome for the best chance at recovery, I swear.

OOTD featuring;
DM copies from Big W
Black Spartan leggings from Black Milk Clothing (I'm so obsessed with these right now)
Whisper Dress -  Gail Sorronda
Cameo necklace - Pandora (gift for my 21st ^_^)
