Cleo

Today is one of the saddest to befall the Julian residence, as today we have to say goodbye to a family member that has shared our home and our hearts for over 18 years. Today we say a heartbreaking goodbye to Cleo Julian. 18 years ago I sat cross-legged on the floor of our old home in Spring Hill, my mother came through the door and slipped a tiny ball of grey and white fluff into my lap and it was love at first sight. Not just for me but for us all.

I will never forget your stern demands for chicken, your forehead bunting snuggles, your gorgeous white milk spot just above your mouth, your meow that no one could ignore, those subtle little prods with your paw to let us know that in fact an hour of straight pets and cuddles was just not enough and that purr that could cause minor tremors all across the continent. What is best perhaps about you is that you did all this with a refined grace and dignity befitting a lady of your beauty.

So here, now, I say with tear-stained cheeks and a heart mid-break; I say so long and I love you.

  1. What a beautiful cat, so sorry for your loss, sounds like she was really a part of the family.
