So I went to Grace's place last night and we took photos to arrange in a photobooth type style. This is how it turned out!
I thought it was pretty nifty :)

Rapid Movements in Your Mind's Eye
Okay, so Grace suggested to me that I might do a post on how I might go about doing my makeup. So I've made this tutorial type thing for one of my preferred make up styles for a goth event or just a night I feel like looking a bit formidable! Obviously this isn't appropriate for everyday or every outfit, but it's just a nice, colourful and fun style. I've also incorporated some photos of most of the tools I've used in making this.
WARNING! Includes some UGLEH photos of me with no foundation on! Eeep! Not all of us can be naturally beautiful I s'pose. Anyway, here we go! (p.s. you might have to click to enlarge some of these photos to see the details).
I will be using my Coastal Scents 88 Colour Palette as shown below.
I have circled to two colours I've used in red.
Firstly clean your face and apply primer; be sure to pay special attention to your eyelids and any areas that may be less consistent texture-wise than the rest of your face.
Now apply the, lighter green all over the lid with a general eyeshadow brush, and be sure to blend it into the crease of your eye. Also, I like to add a green lining with the same eyeshadow under the eye with an angled brush in order to make it 'pop' more dramatically. The photo above shows the difference between the eye with and without the green lining. If you don't like it, obviously don't include it.
Next we apply the dark green over most of the lid, however avoid the inner corner in order to conserve the nice gradient. As before, be sure to blend well into the crease; I find the best way to do that is to blend it whilst your eye is open, sweeping across with your eye as wide as it can go. It's a little hard to explain if you don't know what I mean, but I guess if you know me in real life you can just ask me to show you :P
Now we apply the black to the outer corner of the eye and up into the crease, about a third of the way across the eye. Remember to PRESS the black it, especially if your black eyeshadow is as crumbly and bad-a-quality as the one I was using when I did this. Pressing decreases the amount of excess that just falls all over your face as opposed to a sweeping motion. However, if you do get a bit of excess on your face, and you're like me and aren't a connoisseur of professional makeup brushes, just dust over the area quickly with your largest powder brush.
As I've said, blending is probably the most important thing about getting nice looking eyeshadow, so I've ensured I've put in both a before and after blending photo. Obviously above looks ridiculous, this is BEFORE blending.
And this is after. I've blended the black out quite a lot, but I wanted a very dramatic look. I also re-shape the edges of my eyeshadow by wiping off excess with makeup remover and a tissue; this also makes applying foundation easier around a more contoured edge. I know you're generally s'pose to apply foundation before-hand, but I lean of my face a lot and often have excess everywhere, so i find it easier to apply it after.
Here is an example of how I've tidied up the side of my eyeshadow; the left is tidied, the right is how it was when I applied it.
Mascara to the other eye (dunno why I already had it applied to one eye :P), pencil eyeliner and liquid foundation.
Powder foundation.
Black cheekbone lines, just done with my blending brush with the excess black that was already on it. Also go over my eyebrows with a bit of black eyeshadow, but my eyebrows always look retarded :P
I was also going to apply my fake eyelashes but for some reason they refused to stick to my eyes, and after I took the pics I also added liquid eyeliner.
Finishing touch, Absinthe flavoured lip balm,; that extra something special for a green fairy ;)
Now for the tools!
General eyeshadow brush
Angle brush
Blending brush
Large powder brush
Concealer, dunno if it actually does anything but :P
Powder for that added goth pallor
Pencil eyeliner, though this one is shit so don't get it. I just couldn't find my other one.
Liquid eyeliner.
I dunno why but I always like to add the tiniest bit of blush to my cheeks.
Full-coverage liquid foundation
I've always used this primer because it's the only one that they sell at big w, but Grace let me try some of her MAC sample and it's AMAZING. So I bought some, can't wait to try it :P
Blush brush
Mascara, I just like this one 'cause I don't seem to get clumps with it.
And yes, well that's all really. I should be getting some of my new purchases next week, and Grace and I will hopefully be able to organise a nice shoot soon, so that will be fun times.
Okay, I'm out. Laterz!

Jesus was a zombie
Hahahahaha! Oh so, I started typing my new post here and I got interrupted, and when I came back I saw that all I had written was "So I came.." Oh, yes, I know, I know, small things small minds, but sexual innuendo is a big part of my life amongst my friends :P Grace gets it, don't 'cha Grace?
So anyway, I CAME across a few new sites over the weekend and discovered a few little beauties. Now I'm not normally into brands like Lip Service, with their mass produced clothes for mall-goths, probably the reason why I didn't discover these pants long ago; however when I saw these I thought I might be able to make an exception!
Pants found here.
Look at them, in all their infinite green and black glory. So, I want them, but after I have made all these other purchases I might not be able to afford them, but we'll see. I'm looking into buying them off ebay, because the shipping will be like 70% cheaper. Actually, I think it's the shipping that deterred me from buying them the instant I saw them. From the website I found them off; Infectious Threads shipping is like $40 American. So, I went searching, and it turned out to be like 40 cents different on the Lip Service website, and they didn't have my size anyway, but I found them on ebay from an Aussie seller with shipping amounting to $6! The product is more expensive, but all together I stand to save around $35. Hooray!
I seem to be having an obsession with cyber goth at the moment, I've always been kind'a turned off by the whole cyber goth thing; obviously something has caused that to change. I have a feeling it's because I've been reading a lot about Adora Batbrat lately. She's a gothic youtube-sensation, model, clothes designer and a kind'a bad singer (:P) with a large interest in outrageous gothic makeup and what not. I've been reading her blog and just generally getting into her head.
Can you believe she's 37? Well, I think she might be a bit older now, but god, she looks hot for her age.
Anyway back to my point so I found these AMAZING cyber-goth boots, supposedly by Demonia; though I find it hard to believe I could never have seen these before!
Boots can be found here
They have an actual working light in them, I'm thinking it's probably that circular, lime-like thing on the heel and the green sections glow under uv light. Gah I want them, but at over $300 not including postage from Germany on the website I found them on, XtraX; they'll be staying on their little shelf for quite a while.
And today my new foundation and false eyelashes arrived which is exciting!
p.s. when my snake skin tights arrive I have a cool idea for makeup for my snake-themed outfit!
Anyway, that's about all,

Hello Lamp-post, wha'cha knowin'?
So I'm very excited about what I created this new post for! If you'll remember not too long ago I did a little feature on this new website I'd discovered called Black Milk that sells unique tights, bodysuits and swimming costumes. Well, I was a big fan of their Snake tights:
However, the colours wouldn;t go to well with anything I own. So I emailed them today and they're going to make a custom pair of tights for me in this material:
They're costing me about $93 Australian, which is rather expensive, but considering they're probably OOAK or very close to it, and that I was considering buying two pairs of $60 tights, I can live with it.
I also purchased this dress from Beserk that I had again mentioned earlier:
As well as this nice little hoodie for snuggling up at home:
So once they arrive I'll be taking pics of my great new wardrobe additions!
Plus I also bought some new manic panic face powder, for that lovely deathly-white glow that I like to rock and new massive fake eyelashes for when I'm feeling particularly cyber goth! As well as some fake spacer earrings, 'cause I like them, but I don;t want to have to have surgery when I'm older because of some stupid fad whilst I'm young. Which, I'm aware probably makes me a poser...Oh well! :P
Anyway, that's all I can think of at the mo.

Rosemary, Cherries and an Angel's kiss in Spring
So I don't have a lot to post about at the moment because my idea for interviewing people in order to better understand people's perceptions when it comes to stereotypes didn't seem to go down that well and my new clothes aren't to arrive for a few weeks. Grace suggested I do one about how I do makeup or something, but I dunno... I kind'a feel that I do a bit of a dodgy job and I want some new false eyelashes before I embark on any eye makeup tutorials - and some new brushes wouldn't go astray either. Sigh, I need things and more things, always with the things. I'm such a materialistic bitch :P
Anyway so I just though I might post a few pics taken on the weekend by Grace that I had a little fiddle with on CS3.
I kind'a got there late so the excitment was over by the time I got there photography-wise. However, we did play a nice game of tennis and our sunday best (on a saturday :P )
Yeah, that's all really :P

Keel over and Dye
So today I wanted to show you guys out there this cute little site I came across tha mainly specializes in tights (I thought Gracie might like it). It's called Black Milk, and they make the most original tights I've ever seen anywhere. The ones I like best are the peacock ones:
And these awesome Giraffe ones:
As much as I love the giraffe ones, I don;t think I'd have anything to wear them with. But def. check them out, they have a few interesting and original designs.
I also wanted to mention my hair hair dye which I received in the mail yesterday. Along with my usual 'Apple Green' from Directions La Riche, I also got myself a tub of 'Fluorescent Glow' Which on it's own makes a really fluro yellow colour, but mixed with other pigments, lightens them a touch and makes them GLOW UNDER BLACK LIGHT!
Unfortunately I do not have a black light, but as soon as I acquire/ borrow one and test my new dye out I'll post a pic on here of the product.
And here's a few pics of my usual hair dying products. I still have a bit of 'Enchanted Forest' from Manic Panic left over from last year which I use to dye the darker bits of my hair where the bleach didn't take so well.
I also will add that my new garments from GS have been ordered and I of course will take some photos of them when I get them!
oh and also, before I forget, my blog got a mention! This time, from someone I don't know in real life, and didn't arrange beforehand! It's here! It's just a little post referring to me having a bitch about Clockwork Couture, as I have already right here :P Enjoy!

If you're Gonna Go Down, Go loud, Go Strong, Go Proud, Go On, Go Hard or Go Home
So before I say anything, I'll just begin with stating this is another picture heavy post.
So here are another couple of pics from my shoot with Bec and Kat last week, but if you're friends with me on FB I'm sure you would've seen them all before.
Hem, okay, what else has been going on..Well I bought a new industrial bar for my ear, however it unfortunately doesn't fit :(
It is this one. So, if anyone reads this and wants to buy it off me, contact me by comment, facefail or at sydneysomething@hotmail.com. It's like 16 gauge or something, the standard industrial piercing and it's 37mm long.
Anyway, so in other news, I need a little help with something. So, I wanna buy a new item of clothing for my photo shoot coming up soon with Rodney Shrimpton, but I also need to conserve some money for a trip to Melbourne I'm taking in August to go check out the unis down there/ party it up with Michael! So, I was thinking of either buying this dress from Gallery Serpentine:
But in Black, and perhaps without the pvc medical cross thing.
Or:
This cute green military dress from Berserk.
These two items I thought might be nice for me to get over my fear of wearing anything slightly revealing. But as always, I'm really afraid about displaying much skin because I am quite curvaceous (Although I've lost several kilos over the past few days having being horribly sick :( ) And yeah, I'm just generally of the opinion that bigger girls shouldn't wear anything short and/or tight.
The other option is this shirt, which is really nice, and generally much more in my field of comfort, esteem-wise.
So, I just wanted some opinions regarding this, will those cute little dresses look awful? Good? Will I even wear them? Oh I don't know! Help!
Also, I've been listening to the new Ozzy Osbourne album over the past few days whilst I've been ill. I was never a massive fan of him or Black Sabbath, but I kind'a like it. Any other opinions on it?
